Series 6200
The 1959 Series 6200 reflected the flamboyance of the 50s. Large tailfins, twin bullet headlamps refect this. There were 5 models in the range including 4 and 6 window sedans. 1960 saw a smoothing out of the lines, less chrome and smaller tailfins. All Cadillacs were restyled in 1961. New forward slanting front roof pillar with non-wraparound windshield glass was introduced. A mild facelift was introduced for 1962. The short deck lid was moved to the Series 6200, whilst a similar model continued to be offered in the Series 6300 range. There were few overall changes in 1963, but those that did occur made the car look longer. Again only minor changes in 1964. The biggest change was found under the hood.

Series 6300
The DeVille models had script nameplates on the rear fender. They were trimmed like the series 6200. The had all the same standard equipment plus power windows and two-way power seats. In 1960 there were similar changes to the 6200 models. Like all Cadillacs the models were revised for 1961. A new short deck sedan was added to the range. The Eldorado SeVilles and Brougham were discontinued and for the Biarritz was incorporated into this series. The new model in the range for 1963 was a variation of the town car and called the Park Avenue.
